Allen Trails Community Update: HOA Transparency, Homeowner Concerns & Detention Pond Records

Allen Trails Community First Coalition
October 13, 2026
Dear Allen Trails Neighbors,
Many homeowners have expressed ongoing questions and concerns regarding HOA assessments, financial transparency, neighborhood maintenance, communication, and accountability.
The Allen Trails Community First Coalition believes homeowners deserve access to accurate information and a meaningful opportunity to participate in decisions affecting our community.
What We’ve Been Working On
As part of our ongoing efforts, the coalition has been reviewing available information and seeking clarification regarding several community concerns.
On October 12, 2026, we submitted a formal public records request to Livingston Parish Government seeking documentation concerning the original development, engineering, construction, inspection, approval, and maintenance responsibilities associated with the subdivision’s detention pond and drainage infrastructure.
This request is intended to help establish a clearer understanding of the pond’s history, applicable requirements, and the responsibilities of the parties involved.
Our Focus Moving Forward
We remain committed to encouraging:
Transparency regarding HOA finances and expenditures.
Clear communication between homeowners, board members, and management.
Accountability for neighborhood maintenance and common areas.
Access to governing documents and relevant records.
Meaningful homeowner participation and respectful discussion.
Our goal is not to make accusations or draw conclusions before reviewing the relevant documentation. Our goal is to obtain reliable information, identify legitimate concerns, and work toward practical solutions.
Stay Informed and Get Involved
We encourage homeowners to share their experiences, ask questions, and remain engaged as we continue gathering information.
Updates will be shared as additional information becomes available.
